pdXercise confessions

Making sure I get to an exercise class is essential for this blog’s existence. It is also nearly impossible since I work full-time and am a mom full-time. Thanks to my very supportive and understanding husband as well as my MacGyver-gym-bag-packing skills, I’m able to fit exercise into my life whenever I have a free hour to spare. Here’s how:


  1. Yoga mat
  2. Sneakers
  3. Nike wrap pack
  4. Workout clothes
  5. Water bottle
  6. Sunglasses
  7. Towel
  8. Toiletries
  9. Bathing suit
  10. Goggles
  11. Headband
  12. Hair ties
  13. Headphones
  14. Hairbrush
  15. Book-bag
  16. Not pictured: a snack and one my daughter’s pacifiers

These are in my bag. Every. Single. Day. While it may seem crazy, it has been highly effective for me to carry around all kinds of workout gear when I’m not home. With 2-3 bags on me at all times, it also means that I’m starting to look like a well-dressed homeless person when I leave for work every morning. But hey, you have to make sacrifices, right?
